The members of the DVFC were summons to Shore Highway at Station Road again today at 1243 hours for a Serious MVC with Entrapment. Ambulance 391(Lister) was first arriving and relayed to incoming units that they had entrapment, and at least one priority patient. Upon completion of their Rapid Triage it was determined that there was a total of three patients. Rescue 300(Berneski) arrived, and began to stabilize the vehicles for extrication. Chief 3 arrived and Asst. Chief Higgs established "Station Road Command at which time additional EMS resources were called for including two (2) Medivacs. Engine 304 (Guy Geisel) arrived they were assigned too split there crew with half of them establishing patient care on the least serious patient until additional medical units arrived, and the other half was assigned to pull an attack line for extrication safety. The rescue crew preformed Two (2) door pops (Driver and Passenger) and also removed the roof so medical crews could extricate the victims. In order to remove the second patient EMS crews (PM 13) requested crews to remove the driver seat from the vehicle. Once that was completed the patients were removed from the vehicle and packaged in the transport units. a total of 2 people were sent to the Trauma Center, and 2 other patients were transported to Easton Hospital. Fire crews began to clean up the scene of debris and fluids. MSP was on location and the scene was turned over to them for the accident investigation.
