At 0214 this morning Stations 300,600, and Kent De. 50 were alerted for the structure fire. Within 6 minutes of dispatch Engine 304 (5w/Berneski), Chief 3 (Higgs), and Ambulance 392 were making the response. Dispatch advised these units that this was indeed thought to be a "WORKING" alarm. Tanker 306 (Asst. Eng. Fearins) and Tower 310 (Geisel) were also reponding shortly after and recieved the same dispatch information. Lt. Blessing was first to arrive and relayed to the responding units that this was indeed a "WORKING" shed fire as dispatch had advised. Chief 3 arrived and Capt. Higgs established "Corkell Rd" command, and advised Engine 304 to pull the 300' line and begin knocking the fire. This response was quickly scaled back to 300 units only. Units operated for approximately an hour before returning to service. Thanks to all the members who showed up for this run. Also thanks to the mutual aid companies who were making the response.
